Socrative

Socrative is a tool used mainly by teachers.  You can sign in as a teacher, and your students can sign in.  You can create different quizzes and share them with your students.  There are four different options you can choose from when using Socrative.

You can make a quiz, have a quick question poll during class, or at home, and have a space race, which is a fun interactive review question you can use in or out of the classroom.

Your students are able to access this tool from any laptop, tablet, phone, or computer they have at home.  They are given a room number that they use when they sign in to see the teachers quiz.  The students can also access this tool from the classroom.  Socrative is easily accessible when a student misses class, or has to take the quiz at home.

Socrative is a fun way to incorporate technology into the classroom for reviews.  You can have the class do a quick question or space race, which enables the students to see the results of the whole class anonymously.

I believe the strengths that Socrative has, is that it is very easily accessible to all students, its free, you can import quizzes from other teachers, and you can receive students results and progress instantly.  One weakness that I have noticed, is that in order to import another quiz from another teacher you need to have their code.

The best ways to use Socrative is to incorporate a fun and easy technology into the classroom that is easy to use and access.
